Opinova.io is a professional insights and research platform operated by Potloc Inc.
(“Potloc”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your

Opinova is a Potloc sub-brand focused on professional respondents (“Experts”) and adds specific
conditions for how we verify and process professional profiles.

This Policy applies when you:

Access or use the Opinova website, subdomains, or related experiences;
Register as an Expert to participate in professional research activities;
Receive survey invitations, communications, or rewards from Opinova;
Respond to surveys, profiling questions, or screening forms;
Communicate with us regarding your Expert account or participation.

Opinova processes your personal data solely in the context of your role as a respondent
(Expert). Opinions and data you share through Opinova are used for professional insights research and are
not treated as “client” data under this Policy.

To ensure that Opinova remains a trusted source of professional insights, we may enrich or verify the
information you provide using:

Public professional profiles (where accessible), such as corporate websites;
Business and employment verification databases;
Third-party professional data enrichment tools.

We use this enrichment to:

Confirm that you are who you say you are (professionally);
Validate your role, company, sector, and seniority level;
Ensure that studies reach the right professional audiences;
Protect our clients and the platform from misrepresentation.

These processing activities are carried out under Legitimate Interest (fraud prevention,
data quality, and research integrity) and, where required by law, Consent.

4. Device Verification & Fraud Prevention

Fraud-Prevention Provider Clause:

Opinova uses a third-party fraud-prevention and device-verification provider to:

Detect suspicious login or participation patterns;
Identify potential use of VPNs, proxies, emulators, or automated tools;
Prevent duplicate or fake Expert accounts;
Protect incentives and research quality from abuse.

This provider analyzes device and behavioral-level signals only. It does not collect
biometric data or store copies of government IDs. Processing is based on
Legitimate Interest in securing the platform and maintaining the integrity of research.

5. Data Sharing & Third-Party Providers

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data with:

Research clients (Potloc level):
Only aggregated and anonymised results are shared with research clients unless you explicitly consent
to be identified or re-contacted.
Third-party provider responsible for processing and fulfilling your incentive payouts:
To issue and process monetary or equivalent rewards in your name.
Third-party fraud-prevention and device-verification provider:
To assess risk and protect the platform against abuse.
Technology and infrastructure providers:
Hosting, analytics, customer messaging, and support tools.
Public authorities and regulators:
Where we are legally required to disclose information.

8. Data Retention

Expert & profile data: Kept up to 3 years from your last meaningful activity on Opinova;
Survey response data: Retained as required for research and client reporting, typically in aggregated or anonymised formats;
Reward & payment-data: Retained in accordance with accounting and legal obligations;
Verification & anti-fraud logs: Retained for as long as reasonably necessary to monitor and prevent abuse.

9. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures, including:

Encryption in transit and at rest where appropriate;

Introduction and Acceptance

Welcome to Opinova, a professional insights panel operated by Potloc Inc. (“Potloc,” “we,” “us,” or “our”),
headquartered at 5420 Saint-Laurent St, Montréal, QC H2T 1S1, Canada.

These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of:

the Opinova website at https://opinova.io
and any Opinova mobile applications (collectively, the “Site”); and
all professional research activities, surveys, incentives, and related services provided on the Site
(collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing, browsing, registering for an account, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to be bound by:

(i) these Terms;
(ii) the Opinova Privacy Notice;
(iii) Potloc’s Corporate Privacy Policy;
(iv) any guidelines or rules posted on the Site (collectively, the “Rules”).

If you do not accept these Terms, do not use the Services.

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you at least 30 days
before updates take effect.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old.
You must provide accurate and verifiable professional information.
You may only have one Opinova account.
Certain professionals may be restricted due to conflict-of-interest rules.

Account Registration & Professional Verification

By registering, you authorize Potloc to verify your identity and professional background using publicly
available sources, business information databases, third-party enrichment tools, and fraud-prevention providers.

This may include:

Validating your job title, employer, sector, or seniority;
Checking for misrepresentation or inconsistencies;
Identifying duplicate or fraudulent Expert accounts.

Participation & Professional Conduct

As an Expert, you agree to:

Participate honestly and professionally;
Provide accurate and truthful responses;
Respect confidentiality of all surveys and materials;
Avoid sharing restricted content externally.

You must not:

Misrepresent your qualifications;
Use bots, scripts, or prohibited tools;
Attempt to manipulate study outcomes;
Use VPNs, proxies, or masking tools to alter eligibility.

Rewards, Balances & Redemption

Nature of Your Balance

Your balance reflects the monetary value of rewards earned through participation.
However:

It is not cash until redeemed;
It is not a bank or stored-value account;
It accrues no interest;
It has no financial value outside the payout process.

Redemption

You may redeem once you reach the threshold shown in your account.
All payouts are processed by a third-party provider responsible for processing and fulfilling your incentive payouts.
Verification may be required.

Balance Disputes

A dispute must be raised within 60 days of the relevant activity.

Activity, Inactivity & Expiry

You are considered active if you:

Start a survey from an invitation;
Start a survey on the platform; or
Log in to your account.

After six (6) months of inactivity, your balance expires.
Continued inactivity may result in account deletion.

Fraud Prevention & Account Blocking

We use automated and manual tools — including a third-party fraud-prevention and device-verification provider —
to protect research integrity.

You may be blocked without notice for:

Misrepresenting your identity or role;
Using prohibited tools or methods (VPNs, bots, proxies);
Providing contradictory or intentionally false data;
Attempting multiple accounts;
Interfering with security measures.

If blocked for fraud, all unredeemed rewards are forfeited.

Confidentiality

Experts may encounter confidential or proprietary materials.
You must not disclose, reproduce, or distribute any survey content or insights.
Breach may result in termination and legal action.

Termination

You may close your account at any time.
Any unredeemed rewards at the time of closure are forfeited.

We may suspend or terminate your account for:

Fraud;
Misconduct or abuse;
Violation of these Terms;
Extended inactivity;
Any behavior compromising research quality.

Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

Opinova is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee survey availability, participation opportunities,
earnings, or uptime.

Potloc’s total liability is limited to rewards paid to you in the preceding twelve (12) months.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Québec and Canada unless mandatory local laws apply.
